The Build Up
In 1944, the Allied forces seized the important bridges in this war. First it was the Netherlands then the went to North Germany to bet to Berlin. General Eisenhower was the Allied supreme commander. He was against the whole idea. He preferred the more advanced to go across a broad front. Some of the people in this battle were very important and were known for there greatness to help their troops stay strong and fight through it and they did. That was the job General Eisenhower and Sergeant Parish.
